Dermlite DL200 HR - Directions for Use

Intended Use

This dermatoscope is designed for professional use in medical settings to illuminate and examine skin surfaces non-invasively.

CAUTION: Avoid looking directly into the LED light. Patients should close their eyes during examination.

CAUTION: Do not operate in environments with fire or explosion risk.

WARNING: May expose users to substances known to cause cancer or reproductive harm.

Overview

The DermLite DL200 HR is a smartphone-compatible dermatoscope for polarized skin examination. It provides 10x magnification and can be used with or without skin contact.

Basic Operation

  • Hold the device ~25 mm above the skin with LEDs directed at the lesion.
  • Press the Power button (P) to turn on.
  • Look through the lens from a distance of 25–50 mm to focus.
  • Use the Dial (D) to extend the Spacer (S) for skin contact and image focus.
  • Press the Mode button (M) to switch brightness levels.
  • The device auto-powers off after 3 minutes.

IceCap®

Snap a disposable IceCap (IC) onto the faceplate (FP) to maintain infection control. Remove and dispose after use.

Spacer and Faceplate

  • Removing Spacer: Turn the Dial (D) counter-clockwise past resistance and pull off. Reattach by inserting the Spacer's legs and rotating clockwise.
  • Removing Faceplate: Detach from Spacer by pulling at the fingernail notches. Snap back in place to reattach.

Photography

Attach the DL200 HR to a camera or smartphone using DermLite MagnetiConnect® adapters (sold separately). Clean the faceplate and extend the spacer before imaging.

Battery and Charging

CAUTION: Use only the 3.7V 1800 mAh lithium-ion battery from DermLite.

  • 4-level Charge Indicator (CI) shows battery status.
  • Charge with the included USB-C to USB cable. Pulsing LEDs indicate charging progress.
  • All LEDs light up when charging is complete.

Battery Replacement

Open the snap-on Cover (C) using a screwdriver at notch (N). Disconnect Battery Plug (BP), replace battery (B), reconnect, and reattach the Cover securely.

For support, visit www.dermlite.com/service or contact your dealer. Clean only with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Do not immerse or autoclave. No user modification permitted.

Warranty

5-year warranty for parts and labor. Battery warranty is 1 year.

Disposal

Dispose of battery and electronics separately in accordance with local regulations.
