Defective items are always replaced or refunded at no cost.
We gladly accept returns of most items within 30 days as long as they are in resellable condition.
However, certain products cannot be returned, including:

Highly model-specific accessories ordered incorrectly (e.g., DL4 magnetic faceplates, iPhone/iPad cases - wrong model ordered, camera adapters, etc.)

General Return Policy
Physical Merchandise
Broken or defective merchandise should be reported to us immediately upon receipt and returned for replacement or credit within 30 days of shipment.
Before returning any items, please first contact us at contact@dermatoscopes.com to describe any such issues and obtain return instructions.
For all other returns (excluding items listed under Nonreturnable Items), a full refund will be issued for items returned within 30 days of shipment that are in resellable condition. This includes providing the original packaging, instructions, accessories, and all items exactly as received.
Proper packaging must be used to prevent damage during return shipment. We strongly recommend insuring the package. Return shipping charges are the buyer’s responsibility, except in cases of defective merchandise.
Nonreturnable Items
Certain products cannot be returned. These items include:
1. Opened Batteries
Batteries that have been opened, installed, charged, or show any sign of use cannot be returned.

2. Model-Specific Components Commonly Ordered Incorrectly
Certain highly model-specific parts such as DL4 magnetic faceplates, iPhone/iPad cases, or components tied to a very particular uncommon device or production year—are frequently purchased incorrectly when customers do not verify compatibility. If/when the potential for confusion exists, we've made every effort to provide clear instructions on how to determine the suitability of any given item (often with video walkthrough available).
Because these items cannot be resold once opened or handled, we cannot accept returns for (opened) accessories which have been ordered in error.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all compatibility notes, photos, and product-page videos. If you are unsure, please contact us before placing your order and we will gladly confirm compatibility.
3. Hygienic or Consumable Accessories (Including IceCaps)
Single-use or hygienic accessories — including IceCaps — are not eligible for return or exchange once shipped. Due to their hygienic nature, these items cannot be restocked.
Battery Returns
Defective Batteries
If your battery is defective or damaged on arrival, please notify us immediately.
We will arrange a prepaid return and either replace it at no cost or issue a full refund.
Return Window & Condition

Batteries may be returned only within 30 days of shipment.

Unopened, unused batteries in their original sealed packaging are eligible for a full refund.

Opened, installed, charged, or used batteries are nonreturnable.
Return Authorization
You must contact us at contact@dermatoscopes.com before returning any battery. We will provide proper instructions.
Shipping Requirements
Return shipping (unless defective) is the buyer’s responsibility.
Batteries must be shipped in accordance with all applicable shipping regulations.
We recommend trackable shipping and insurance.
Customer Satisfaction
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase and will do our best to accommodate reasonable return requests. Because we are an authorized DermLite distributor and sell highly specialized medical accessories, every situation is unique.

*As stated on our website, we provide free outbound shipping. Except for defective items, the buyer is responsible for return shipping.
**Full refunds apply only to items in resellable condition. Signs of significant use (scratches, scuffs), missing items, or damaged/missing packaging may reduce or eliminate refund eligibility. Please retain all original packaging until you are certain you are satisfied with your purchase.
Gift Cards
Dermatoscopes.com offers virtual (e-gift) cards. Treat gift card codes like cash; we cannot replace lost or stolen cards except where required by law.
Gift cards are redeemable only at dermatoscopes.com and cannot be returned, refunded, or redeemed for cash.
Balances expire 5 years after initial purchase.
Repairs and Warranty Service
Repairs are performed by the DermLite Service Center (separate from dermatoscopes.com). A "Request for Repair" form must be completed prior to sending in your item. After submitting the form, the DermLite service team will contact you with further instructions.
