DermLite DL1 Cross-Polarized Clip (Non-Contact Filter)

Description

The DermLite DL1 Cross-Polarized Clip is a standalone accessory designed to convert your DL1 into a polarized, non-contact dermatoscope.

This slim, snap-on filter slides directly over the body of the DL1 and enables cross-polarized dermoscopy without the use of a spacer or contact faceplate.

What It Does

The DL1 is inherently a contact dermatoscope when used with its standard spacer attachments. Those spacer options include:

• A non-polarized contact faceplate

• A polarized contact faceplate

Both of those configurations require direct contact with the skin, as the spacer places the faceplate at the approximate focal distance of the device.

By contrast, this cross-polarized clip:

• Adds polarized imaging capability

• Eliminates the need for the spacer contact plate

• Allows for non-contact polarized dermoscopy

This can be useful in situations where contact is not ideal, or when a slimmer profile is preferred.

• This product is the polarized clip only

• The DermLite DL1 dermatoscope is not included

• No spacer or faceplate is included
